It’s a dilemma not only teachers know: young people discover an interest in a technical topic, ask ever more detailed questions, and eventually it happens – you run out of answers. After all, today’s technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and no one can always stay up to date with the latest research. No one, that is, except those who are conducting the research themselves.
It’s a real dilemma, and the Department EEI is happy to help. For all teachers who would like to learn more about “quantum technologies” or “the mobility of tomorrow,” it has been offering support for years in the form of professional development courses. You can find them all clearly presented on its page “Fortbildungen für Lehrkräfte”.
Things kick off on 23 July. With “Alles Quanten oder was?” you can dive into the world of quantum research. Prof. Jörg Schulze from the Chair of Electron Devices will provide an overview of the history of quantum research and reveal what the future may hold.
The program continues on 24 July for everyone interested in “the mobility of tomorrow”. Prof. Martin März from the Chair of Power Electronics will take participants on a journey into the future of mobility – whether on water, on land or in the air.
All courses can be found via FIBS, the portal for professional development in schools. Interested teachers can arrange release time for these courses in consultation with their schools.
